Still Lots of Snow on Kolob

It will still be a while before we can drive in to our cabin, but the snow has melted a little on the south side of the house and garage. This was taken last week - but there is supposed to be more snow in a few days.

Easter Fun

We had a fun Easter weekend when Brian and Emily came to visit. Bailey and Corbin made Easter baskets for them (well, Emily and Bailey made the baskets while Brian and Corbin played). We watched Bailey and Corbin find Easter eggs at the Ivins park, and then we went to the Art Festival where the kids played in the water features, got their faces painted, had treats, watched entertainers and, oh yeah - saw a little art.

Fun on the Four-Wheeler!

Kirk and I went on a 4-wheel excursion with about 15 other couples from Santa Clara. We spent two nights in a "vintage" motel and rode about 7 hours in the back country and canyons around Kanab. We saw beautiful canyons and petroglyphs and enjoyed good food and company. Let's do it again Kirk!

Fun at Adventure Pizza

We hung out at Adventure Pizza in Washington the other day. George & Shellie came up and Brian and Emily came down to join us. George and Kenny got especially competitive at the arcade games - it didn't matter which game - they just like to win!

Happy Third Birthday Corbin

It was fun celebrating Corbin's birthday last week at the park by their home. This photo is of Corbin and the playdough monster he made while he and I were spending time together. He loves all kinds of ball - but his favorite is basketball. He's great at riding his new bike, he loves everything Spiderman, he's very gentle with babies, and he loves to sing. The other day Corbin sang "I'm trying to be Like Jesus" for the whole family - and he sang every word perfectly. It was so sweet - and he is such a sweet (and funny) #3 grandson. Happy Birthday Corbin.

Come to Dixie Aubree!

My niece, Aubree, left Davis High to travel to southern Utah for a campus tour at Dixie State, and to try out for a talent scholarship. She did a great job on her audition (she even sang in French and Russian) - and she was offered a scholarship on the spot! We took her all over campus and introduced her to a bunch of students, faculty and staff and they all gave her a taste of "The Dixie Spirit" that the school is famous for. I loved having her and my sister, Julie, here for a girls weekend together. Aubree also tried out at SUU the next day - and they want her too! I upped the stakes, though and told her I'd make her the star of my publications and maybe even find a spot for her on a billboard if she chose Dixie! How would it be to be so popular?
